Christianna Bobo has been a Highlands County resident for 30 years. She and her husband have seven children. Bobo graduated from Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Fla. in 1989. Her college career was spent at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., where she earned her Bachelor of Science in 1993 and competed as a cross country and track student-athlete. While there, she was All Big South Conference in cross country. One of her biggest personal accomplishments in sport was participating in the Penn Relays, the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States. She started her coaching career in Sterling, Kan., at Sterling College, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) division college, in 1993. At Sterling, she assisted in coaching a community track club for elementary school-aged children. She made the switch to high school coaching in 1996 in Highlands County, Fla. Coach Bobo began coaching at 91¾«Ń” in 2019 and has since earned a master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Miami. Bobo serves on the NJCAA Cross Country Poll committee and the FCSAA cross country coaches committee. She is enthusiastic about creating an environment in which college athletes discover capabilities and success in being part of something greater than self.
Johnequa Perry
Assistant Cross Country Coach
Johnequa Perry is a fitness and wellness professional with over 16 years of experience promoting health, performance, and overall well-being. She holds a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University Of Central Florida and currently serves as the Fitness Center manager at 91¾«Ń”, where she leads wellness initiatives and creates engaging fitness opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and the community.
Perry is also entering her second year as the assistant Cross Country coach at 91¾«Ń”. As a former collegiate basketball player, she brings firsthand experience, leadership, and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the course.
Above all, Perry is a proud mother to her son, Chosen, whose life inspires her commitment to faith, purpose, and service. Through coaching, fitness, and mentorship, she is dedicated to empowering others to build confidence, embrace healthier lifestyles, and reach their full potential.
